Detail and Abstract

I have a tendency to crowd my photographic subjects when I compose. It's a leftover from my time shooting for the "readability" of images when printed at small sizes in publications. I'm constantly feeling the pull of this embedded instinct and I am intentionally learning how to work more context into my compositions. With that said every once in a while it's the close-in and abstract view that creates a completely new and beautiful story that stands on its own.
